Department of Anatomy

The Anatomy department is headed by Prof. Dr. Sangita Gosavi. The Anatomy department is constantly involved in exploring and implementing newer teaching learning methods that enhance the process of learning. The department also focuses on conducting good quality of research and is also furnished with a term of dedicated and enthusiastic teaching faculty.

The Department of Anatomy consists of Adequate number of Cadavers for dissection in the Dissection hall as well as audio-visual teaching aids such as OHP, LCD projector, models , charts  for gross, microscopic and developmental  anatomy teaching.

The departmental museum  has a wide variety of dry and wet specimens, including gross anatomy, neuro anatomy, embalming,  X-ray lobbies with radiographs, genetic charts, skeletons   and Individual bones and catalogs are placed for quick reference of the specimen.

The Histology lab is well equipped with microscopes, LCD projector, rotary microscope, incubator, hot water bath refrigerator, staining materials, sufficient slides for demonstration and for preparation for students.

Department of Anatomy conducts CME seminars for an updated knowledge on recent advances on human anatomy for the benefit of students and faculty as well.
