Department of Pathology

The Pathology department is headed by Prof. Dr. M. Phani Kumar.  The department provides daily OP & IP services through central laboratory, blood bank and emergency laboratories, providing all required services for patients for investigating blood & body fluids, cytology and histopathology. 

The main goal of the Department of Pathology is to understand the causes of diseases, creating diagnostic tests and finding effective therapies, illness management, early disease identification and prevention.

 

Central Laboratory

 The clinical pathology wing in the hospital as a part of the central laboratory functions 24 hrs a day, all through the year with coordinated functioning of faculty, technical, and other staff.

A licensed Blood Bank is available 24/7 under the control of the Medical Superintendent of FIMS and is headed by the Department of Pathology.
