Department of Community Medicine

The Department of Community Medicine (PSM) is headed by Prof. Dr. Sabnis Sharedpandit Rao. The department is involved in Teaching, Training, Research, Healthcare, Evaluation and Outreach Activities. As a department, we espouse the institution`s vision & mission and so the quest for excellence in teaching, research and clinical services.

Our vision is to create healthy and resilient communities by promoting preventive healthcare addressing social determinants of health, and fostering community engagement through education and research. Department committed towards integrated and interdisciplinary teaching and research.

Community Service

The department acts as a community partner and uses its expertise to provide help to those in need. Our community service includes Health Camps, Educational Activities, Counseling Sessions, Health Awareness Programmes conducted in the surrounding villages. Our doctors regularly visit Rural Health Centre and Urban Health Centre to provide clinical care to patients residing in these areas.
